| Making a living for retireesRight! Retirement issues is a wonderful term. As far as I am concerned, retirement has one issue: making a living.Except, of course, in the few cases where the retiree gets a full salary so he can go play golf like a movie star, the rest of us have to make a living. The first obstacle is the age of the unhappy old man. There is a curve. You begin by applying to all the jobs you see in the paper. After a couple of months all of a sudden you realize that you have not had even a single call for an interview. Man! I have a five page CV, so I know it isnīt that. But when they see the age, in file 2! So, whatīs the answer? Thanks, chicos! |
| I thought age was never a problem when it comes to employment in other countries. In the Philippines, it is a big problem even for people as old or as young as 35 because it's already very hard to get a job when you reach this age, unless if you're applying as a call center agent. You'll have to look for a job outside your comfort zone if you want to get one. |
