Current economic problemsThe taxi strike, air traffic controlers conflict and the increase in the fuel prices are the dominant events in today´s Uruguay newspapers.Notice that all have to do with money. The taxis run on fuel and, because of the conflict in Libya, the prices of crude have been going up. Not only in beautiful Uruguay, but all over. It is not the fault of the people, who use the taxis, or the government. But thats is beside the point. The air traffic controllers have been going on strike in "work stoppages", recurrent and dangerous for people in the air. Again, for better salaries. And, of course, the root of all the problems, the fuel prices. So, business as usual, they say. The Libya confliuct will cause many problems... Cheers! |
