| A common American thing to greet others on the street is frowned on in big cities in Uruguay. I am not sure why, but it is the same in other nations as well. Maybe due to political events. Also for another reason which I have no idea, giving the thumbs up is a huge insult to an Uruguayan, so it is better not to ever show that sign in public. |
