The Gaucho Museum is always listed as one of the big attractions in Montevideo. I still haven't been and I was looking it up to find out opening hours when I found the page below. If this is all I have to look forward to maybe I won't bother going! Has anyone been? Is there more to see than this?

Hi Geoffrey! The Gaucho Museum is an interesting place to visit but, in my opinion, not one of the best museums in Montevideo. I'd say there are others that are far more exciting like the Museo Romantico, or the Historic National Museum which is made up of a number of landmarks including Garibalidi's house, the home of the Italian national hero while he was living in MVD. These are all in the Old City section. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
